The accession consists of 107 original 5 x 7 black and white images documenting R/V Spencer F. Baird on Transpac Expedition. The photographs were taken on the leg of the journey from Hakodate to Japan. The images include portraits of expedition scientists, views of work at sea and in shipboard laboratories, and a few views of scientists and crew at leisure. The accession includes several photographs of Robert L. Fisher, John McGowan, Warren S. Wooster and others.
